Hello all,

I own an '04 ESV...about 88,000 on the clock.When I purchased theESV I always heard this intermittent buzzingnoise in the rear. At first I thought it was the fuel pump but aftera little reasearch Ithink that buzzing noise was the air compressor/pump for the suspension.I rarely drive the truck (I'm an avid VW VR6junkie) but recently I have been and I noticed that buzzing noise is no longer buzzing and the ride is truly horrible compared to when I first drove the truckdaily about a year ago. Yes..my wife drives theBohemoth with the 4 kids.

1) Arecadillacs (escalades)known to have this problem?

2) How hard is it to replace? (I'mfairly mechanically inclined. Give me instructions and I'll be ok)

3) Is this something that I can avoid bringing to the dealership? BTW out of warranty

4) Is it correct that my truck has an air compressor for the rear shocks? What about the front?

5) Am I in trouble?
