Default Leaking antifreeze, need advice

Hi, I’m new here. I own a 84 Eldorado 4.1 with 103,000 miles. I have antifreeze dripping from the bottom of the B-housing.

I checked the oil no signs of antifreeze there, the heater hoses look good as well. Although I don’t have a temp gauge (light only) the engine seems not to be running hot lso runs fine. Any thoughts on where it may be coming from? Thanks in advance.

Edit: Mistakenly posted in the big block section should have been small block.

#1.
State the problem in its completness and correctness, the car model and year, etc.
[/i]
Supplied in first post

#2.
Tell us when the problem occurs: driving, starting, parking, cold weather, hot weather,
when your aunt drives it, when it rains, when the planets are in line, etc .. you get the point? [/i]
[/i]
When the engine is running once warmed up.

#3.
PLEASE TELL US what you have done so far in trying to resolve the problem. IF nothing, say that.
I cannot think of anything more frustrating than we start making suggestions and we get a "done that."
Me for one, usually take a deep breath and dont come back to that thread when that happens.
Other TECHs may be more forgiving.[/i]
[/i]
Nothing other then what was mentioned in first post.

#4.
DO commit to to return after the problem is fixed and tell us what the problem was. We dont care how
you found the answer or who gave you the solution, but the other owners do care HOW you fixed it!
We spend the time helping you, we ask you spend the time helping others. [/i]
Will do.
#5.
On some issues, like A/C, we are very reluctant to provide suggestions unless the owner can
convince that he/she knows what he/she does with such devices. [/i]

Non AC related

#6.
IF I only got a few minutes to surf the site and type responses, chances are that I'm going to 1st look
at the questions of those that keep coming back or have larger #'s of posts or people I know or people
that i seen helping others.
[/i]THAT my friends, is simply the human equation[/i]. I bet the other TECHs do the same.
SO, look for ways to help others and the favors are more likely to be returned by those that you helped. [/i]
[/i]
Preformed a search before posting question.

#7.
Lastly, I start my day at the [/i]Off-Topic Forum[/i] with a cup of jabba.[/i] Anyone I see posting there, i make it
a point to remember the name. I will probably remember you when I see you later asking for help.
I seem to remember a lot of that. [/i]
[/i]
Haven’t been to OT as of yet

it could be:

The intake gasket
a freeze plug
a crack in the block
cracked head or gasket
coolant nipple on the intake
or maybe something else i can't picture on that year model off the top of my head.

I would pressure test the system and look for the source before taking a wild guess at it.
That's just how i roll.

Thanks FLCaddytech, I was alsothinking freeze plug as you suggested.

I haven’t found coolant in the oil so hopefully that rules out a cracked head or gasket. I’ll do a pressure test within a few days. Again, thanks for the advice.
