Default FOR SALE: 1989 Sedan DeVille

Hey guys. I'm posting to try to sell my DeVille. My cousin is selling his car and it's a deal I can't pass up. So, here it goes.

1989 Cadillac Sedan DeVille

medium rosewood metallic / brown oem full length vinyl top / light brown interior

4.5L V8 with the 9.0:1 compression...no need for premium gas!! It has 106,XXX on it. Great for an '89.

It get's like 12 mpg and I drive it everyday...usually around town...but some highway. It usually get's like 300 some miles per fill up I believe.

I replaced the AC. It didn't work when I got it. I decided to change it out. My dealer did it for me. They replaced it with the new style air conditioner. I have no idea what it is or what it does...but all I know is it's not the old style anymore. It works amazingly. The outside temperature gauge works seemingly well too.

The needle in the speedometer doesn't have that annoying jitter that many old cars have.

I upgraded to a Pioneer MP3/CD player. It just has the stock speakers still...but on the settings it's on now...it actually sounds really good. People often think I have a full system.

I installed some hyperwhite lights in it. They're ok. They're a little brighter than the other ones. I forgot to get the Sylvania Silverstars...but it's all good. They do their job.

I installed a FRAM Air-Hog filter in it. It's good. The stock one was shot.

I did a little bit of basic maintenence on it. I sprayed the throttle body with some cleaner and cleaned the hell outa it a few days ago. My dads friend used it for a wedding. lol. But yeah.

I HAD to replace some other stuff in it too. I believe the one is the waterpump. They also replaced all of the belts. They did a full oil job on it. The thing was leaking mad oil when I got it...so they fixed that and did a full change out. You can smell some burnoff every once in a while that is left over in the engine bay. No biggie. I also had them do a rear drum job. It stopped like a piece. I don't know all of what they replaced...but it stops great now. All it could use is 2 front rotors. They're a tiny bit out of parallel. No big deal. Still stops fine.

The leveling thing seems to work alright. When you have just you, or 1 other person in the car the light turns off in a second or two. If you have a car full...it take about 15 seconds. Maybe a bit worn...I don't know. Hey...it's from 1989. lol.

There's no rust on the car. The only bit that I know of is a tiny mark (the size on maybe a gummy worm where some paint got chipped off of the trunk and rain rusted it. If you painted over it it'd look good for a few months. Very VERY easy fix.

Most of the body is perfect. There's a tiny dent on the front of the hood and a little bump on the rear bumper from when the original old lady owner hit something. 3 of the 4 hubcaps are perfect and 1 is a tiny bit scratched. No biggie. The tires are all pretty good and are all whitewalls. They're very clean. The rear tires are Good-Years and the fronts are like Grand Am or something. The passenger side "Sedan DeVille" emblem is gone and the driver side on is broken. Before you get it I'm replacing them both with 100% OEM GM pieces from the local Cadillac dealership. I'm also going to respray the wipers flat black and touch up a few sports around the car where paint chipped off. There's 1 big one on the drivers side taillight top and that 1 on the hood. Those are the only noticible ones. The vinyl top is almost immaculate. Just put some vinyl wax on it a few days ago. Looks great!

The interior is almost immaculate. The seats are great. The dash shows no wear at all. No cracking or deforming. The gauges and eletronics all work great. The power windows all work and so do the locks and both of the power seats. The only problem is it doesn't have seatback recliners. It also have a car phone. It might be OEM. Who knows? I just put some new floor mats in it today. It also has some cheap center console thing for tasty beverages. The only thins is it has the normal arm rest wear (though not bad at all) and the carpet just needs a good cleaning.

I also had them put on a new exhaust. It has a Dynomax Super-Turbo muffler on it. They installed that, new tubing afterwards, and a chrome tip. It sounds great! It's exactly what I wanted...a great idle, nice midrange...and no sound after that. From inside the car it sounds OEM. It's great. If you're outside of the car, it has a great deep sound. It's very assertive. It sounds kinda like my friends '88 IROC Camaro. It has the 350. It has a great tone when you drive by. It's just like that.

Overall...the car is great. I did all of the expensive stuff to it. All you'd have to do is eventually get new front rotors and get a good cleaning on the carpet. If you wished, you could get the leveling mechanism looked at and repaint it. With a fresh repaint...the car would look amazing. It's an awesome car...but my cousins car is too good of a deal to miss out on.

The car is located in Imperial, PA. It's about 10-15 minutes away from the city of Pittsburgh. If you flew into Pittsburgh International Airport we'd pick you up. The zip is 15126. If you have any questions or want more pictures or info, post here or IM me at ProjectCB7 or email me at importtuner9@msn.com.

If you showed me $3,000 you can take this car tomorrow.

Please post if interested at all!!
