I own a 2006 DTS, and a 1970 CDV of which I'm trying to have painted. Does anyone know of a auto shop in Dallas who can paint the 1970 for a reasonable price? People are coming back with some outrageous prices! 7K & 10K WOW! Thx.

 

dont laugh .. i mean it !

go to your local home-depot and ask the guys out there if any of them have auto body / painting experienced .. someone will.

pay $200 to $300 (that's $100 / day, two/three days) to prep the car, feather edge/sand/fill, remove trim, tape it, the whole works so its ready to spray .. do not pay until its done to your satisfaction but lets be nice and get some food and sodas for the guy thrown in.

get a flat bed to take it to a local MAACO or Earl scheib, pay for the premium paint job .. IMPORTANT: get the same guy that prepped the car to clean it up, remove tape, rub down over spray if any, etc ...

you will have close to one of those $5,000 paint jobs for around $600 .. they use the same paint as the guy that quoted you $8,000 .. SAME PAINT .. the cost is the PREP and cleanup afterward !!!

Its an very graceful model.I suggest you the white roof and light blue blue paint combination for this car.Its really looking very gorgeous and may you like when you put it on your car.
