But not one sign of a mosquito! So much for the intelligence of the human race!

BUT I have to say that the Caddys are great in the snow & ice. We got snowthis week and it was glaze ice on the highway by the time I left for work. The traction control & ABS (which I hate in the Grand Cherokee) work very well. I was impressed.
When I go hunting in Pa I go down to Philly first and rent a deville. I see 4 wheel drive guys stuck andI just motor on past them. I try to get a red one so the blood that's all over the car won't show up too bad.

Somewhere around the 2nd or 3rd we should get our second (but coldest so far) cold front. Temps should dip down to the upper 40's. Today I will be searching out wood for the ole fireplace that gets used about 3 days a years.

well, when it comes to precipitation, So Ca blew right by you all ...

As of 6am today, 3.9 inches of rain, exceeding even Seattle. Expecting another 1.5 inches of water by Sunday,

Big bear reports over 4 ft of snow and is expecting two more feet of snow over the weekend.

The I-5 at the Grapevine was closed for TWO days, thousands of cars and trucks stuck since Wed waiting for the thaw - a big party? Caltrans was unable to clear the snow and ice. snow would melt with the sand/salt and refreeze into black ice as fast as they tried to clear it. I-5 finally reopened this morning.

The 710 was closed throughout the night due to several inches of water flooding large sections.
So CA expects about 4 hrs of rain left and "stage 3" is coming in sometime tomorrow for the next deluge.

Someone tell the dam rain dancer to STOP IT !
Enough of this s***.

stand by for snow pictures when the live cams come back to life.
