If not for the quick reflexes of Ford Motor boss Alan Mulally, George W. Bush would’ve

G.W.B. was just supposed to stand by a Ford hydrogen-powered concept car for a photo op.
Cheney, as always, had emerged from the bushes to keep watch. As the president approached
the car and instinctively tried to stick a powered extension cord into the vehicle’s hydrogen tank,
the Ford boss pushed Bush aside and yanked the electrical cord from Bush’s hands.

“I just thought, ‘Oh my goodness!’ So, I started walking faster, and the President walked faster
and he got to the cord before I did. I violated all the protocols. I touched the President. I grabbed
