G.A.R.Y.

You were right about Navy and Oklahoma, but WVU lost. That puts OSU right back in the title game.

I guess you can't make a wager until you find out who they are playing?

Every game for a service team is a "win." You have to remember none of their players are looking for a NFL job. Down the road we might see one or two but they all have the same chance to "walk on the moon" as they have of playing professional football.
The kids on "Miami" or "OSU" however!

I believe the NAVY has had 52 astronauts?

Let's not forget heisman trophy winner for the NAVY Roger Staubach. I think he made it to the NFL.

If you get drafted by the NFL from OSU or the "U" you won't make it to the moon, but will be able to afford to fly there first class.

There might be something wrong with that.

Well Gary, Stauback is the reason I stated one or two. I don't know of fifty one? only the one that hit a golfball on the moon. It wasn't long after that they eliminated the military from the astronaut program.
I have to hand it to the schools that continue to play the service teams. It may sound like "sour grapes" but Notre Dame has been continously scheduling since the thirties and it is always the biggest game they look forward too at the academies during the season. With the only exception being Army/Navy.

Quite a tradition. I look forward to the Army/Navy game every year, if only for some traditional, friendly army bashing. Anyone know why the Army are the "black nights"?

Poor ole Buckeye Bill Coates. Thanks for comming but no dance for you. Nice run though.

There is always next year.

OSU being in the title game is the biggest reason for a playoff justification yet! Oklahoma and USC is the game I wanted to see.

What happened to U of M. Those Liberty Street convicts going somewhere else?

Tebow kid had one hell of a year! Have to admit they are all playing ball down Florida way. Used to be the big Florida 3. Now everybody's playing ball!

Welcome back.

U of M rebuilding, they have 46 starters in the NFL more then any other team. They also have the espn #1 ranked recruiting this year, but as I have stated before it will probably be at least 2 years before they are back in the hunt. We finally have a head coach that might keep the liberty city guys here. BTW Miami northwestern High school (liberty city) is the #1 ranked highschool in the nation (they beat the prior #1 out of Tex *** this year and went undefeated) and 6 of those guys are going to UM next year. Meanwhile in your absence the OSU guys have bounced back to #1 and should bring home a title this year. More upsets in college ball this year then many other years put together. It's been a betting man's nigthmare. Good luck, and don't forget the xlr is still going strong!!

I guess enough time has passed so that Bill coates can lick his wounds, so now I say

Buckeyes suck, and if they played in the sec, big east or acc they would have had at least five losses during the season and probably not made a bowl game.

There, I said it.

C'mon G.A.R.Y., they beat the snot out of Youngstown State and Akron! I couldn't in good conscience make a case that they belonged in the title game.

Play off talk needs pumped up!
