Gary: You are so right!!I just purchased a HP notebook computer, as I know Dell cust. service stinks (They left our office high and dry for over a month, as cust service was terrible, and for a buisness no less, WE HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER BRAND TO GET US BY) .But this HP notebook I purchased was for home use, and was received with a cut in the a/c adapter wire.Just received it 2 weeks ago today.Cust service said they would fed ex. a new one right away, to check status on their web site. Well the date for receiving came and went, # of calls later , # of timesbeing on hold(one time I was on hold for 50 min.) , being transferred to another dept 5 times etc. and in the end got a guy that could hardly speak english, hard to understand to say the least ,told me the a/c adaptwer is backordered and had no idea when I would get it. I ended up calling sales, as no wait there, asked the sales girl how long to get a new notebook like the one I just got and she said 7 days. (Told her I should send mine back and order another one so I could have a notebook I could use. (notebook and printer was over $2500.00)Ended up she ordered me a new power cord, shippeed out next day (which is today) put it on my charge, and she said she would write up a credit to take it off the charge. I asked her why they do not have any for warranty (supposedly back ordered), but would supply you one for purchase. No ans. on that. It is clear all they care about is sales and cust service is worth crap to say the least. I really lost any faith in cust. service with any computer company. At least I will be able to use the notebook soon, I hope.
