Red face Bing Versus Google

As you may know Microsoft’s new search engine, Bing, had a great start. According to some news, it started to overtake Yahoo. Bing also grabbed market share from Google.

Is it possible? I don’t think so. People’s habit is hard to change and most of us is using Google as the default homepage. I think more creative ideas and some vision is needed to overtake Google.

I don't know what I'd do without Google, it's great and they own YouTube! But I think eventually teens will start using something else and Google's day in the sun will end.

Microsoft will figure out some way to screw up Bing or start charging fees to upgrade it!

Personally, I like Dogpile better than Google. It is a search engine of search engines, so usually I get better information.

Google is popular, not necessarily the best.
Some of you may not know that it is not a true search engine and that the finds are brought to you in an order directly related to how much each those finds submit their fees to google. The more you pay, the closer to the top of the 1st page you get. Google is basic engine, search for "strings", there are others much more advanced. They are good, damn good at marketing their services, right down to knocking on doors and requesting a fee to get your biz on their front page of finds - just like the Yellow Pages.

My favorite mainstay is ASK.COM .. these folks find things that google does not, and you can ask for whatever in ways that google cant even grasp. Much of what you see in this site came through the ASK.COM portals.
You can ask things like "I need a 1965 Corvette", "how do I find a girlfriend", "how do I grill a steak", "where do i find the cheapest laptop" .. you get the point!

To choose the best search engine for YOUR needs, one should understand how it searches and how that search engine makes MONEY! So you know, selling in eBay follows the same exact rules as Google .. the higher your fees to eBay, the closer to the top of finds you get .. and therefore their so called "BEST MATCH" ...

As some of you mentioned, there are a couple of search engines that will give google serious competition, the will actually process logical questions - try that on google.
