I’m going to inherit my moms 03 CTS with a3.2.
My question is, what am I in for maintenance wise? I don’t know that it’s a Northstar engine. So I don’t know that it’s subject to the common NS problems. It’s got around 150,000 on the clock. Should I get the timing set done?? As long as I’m in there should I take care of anything else?? How big of a job is the timing set on that engine to do??
I’ll take any advice you guys can give me. I’ve heard so much bad about Cadillac engines of that era... I don’t know what to believe. I’m not going to put a lot of miles on it... but I don’t want to be broke down on the side of the road with my family in the car. Thanks.
