Default WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Cadillac has spent over 100 years creating it's brand name and image. Up until several years ago, everyone new the following names that were associated with Cadillac: Seville, Deville, Eldorado. The Catera was a bomb; therefore a new name should be made for the CTS. Does anyone think that Cadillac should go back to it's root names? STS=Seville, DTS=DeVille, new CTS coupe=?, CTS=?, etc.
Hopefully some of you agree with me. I think the best advertising tag line was "BEST OF ALL, IT'S A CADILLAC". I think this tag line says it all. What do you think?

I agree totally. Ive never been fond of cars with simple letters or numbers as names. I think all this CTS XLR STS stuff is just to blend in with the rest of the luxury car scene. Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, and Mercedes for example dont give their cars fun or interesting names. It just seems like it sucks some soul out of the car. I couldnt feel proud saying i owned a car called a M3 or a G35. I guess its just a rich person thing.

I didn't like it at first, but it grows on you after awhile.
Now it's just part of the lingo.
I think they changed to bring in a new generation of buyers.
So far it seems to be working.

I would be proud to own a CTS-V
