Dear ESSJ,

I own two STS cadillacs, one 2004 and a 2003. My son wants to put Dubs on my 2003 to drive, if you don't mind me asking what makes Dubs so appealing? I realize at 38 I'm probably not as up to date as I was 20 years ago, but before I allow my son the ability to put dubs on my car I wanted to get a non-bias opinion.

Thanks,
Tony

What makes it so appealing, basically its all looks. Before i say anything else, after putting dubs on, it has caused more attention. I got alot of props for riding on DUBS. The down side of it, i run on 255 falken tires, which basically last for about 25 to 30 thousand miles. Low profiles tires caused me to be alert on the road for pot holes, its very easy to bend your rims. Over all im very happy with it, what can i say "BLING BLING"

Oh yea, also u can feel the road much more on low profile tires. When i hit about 65, i feel the car shake more than when i had stock rims on. The ride is pretty much the same on the streets, but alittle shaky on the free way. Its a take and give. For looks u have to sacrifice alittle bit of the smooth ride. Good luck.

he is correct...it is mostly for the "Wow" aspect...but whenever you decrease the sidewall, you also lose some ride quality...
