I have an 04 xlr and 04 cts. Had to put the xlr in the garage cuz of the snow up here. Looking forward to driving in spring and discussing topics with all of you. Thinking about buying a c6 vet, but trying to decide if I should wait for the xlr-v. Your thoughts?

 

Congratulations on your terrific choice of vehicles. We just bought an SRX and have an '03 Z06 Corvette. Since you have an XLR and they're almost too much to take in as is, would suggest an '06 Z06 to complete the stable. Motor Trend last month projected price between $75K and $85K and with handbuilt motors, suspect production volumes will be greatly reduced from prior years. I find that bit of info nerveracking. Porsche's equivalent engines ALWAYS had significant horsepower/torque variances between vehicles as a result. That's why IROC went to Camaro's in the '70s.

Nonetheless, the new Z06s will be unique and rare. I'll be interested to hear your decision.
