Hi All - Cadilllac Brougham in London - England
Hi there everyone,
after spending some time browsing the sections of this forum I suppose I should start right here, but introducing myself.
What cars have I got:
Well Ive got some unusual collection of 4x4's ...some say hidden away somewhere on someone's first drawings these where indeed the inspiration for the well known HUMMER. The vehicle Im talking about is the "UMM Alter".
U.M.M. - stands for Uniao Metalo Mecanica.
and Alter - a certain breed of horses, very sought after actually, with its roots in Portugal (get to New York, spin the globe 1/4 of a turn and you will find it - geographically first country to welcome you to Europe.
Back in the 70's and 80's this vehicle was mainly produced for the forces, be it army and utility companies.
Some models even made it to Ceasars Palace to attend an edition of the "NADA" show at the time.
Enough of talking and lets get to posting pictures:
My pick up UMM Alter
On a long trip to France and picture taken at the Pyrenees Services Area
The other UMM Alter:
Missing a few bits in the front (bumper etc)...
UMM Alter from 1993 (a few changes from this year onwards)
Left in a yard on the outskirts of London (England)
Blending in with nature...
Driving past the Secret Services Mi-6 (in london), many will recognise the image from the latest James Bond film - Skyfall
(pic taken on top of Vauxhall Bridge crossing the river Thames)
In South London right under the railway track...not the "chop shop" nope! accessing the headaches...
The full strip...
The great wash...
The sand play... (sandblasting)
The rebuilt
The implants
And the Metal bath...
Chassis fully submerged in liquid zinc at 400 degrees Celsius to last a life time
more news on this UMM through out 2013.
Also have at this precise moment a Nissan Navara being fully sprayed in "alaska white" Land Rover colour (similar colour as the pick up UMM Alter back there), re-trimmed and added new wheel arches to widen its looks, it will be mainly my work horse and also the one that will take me to Sweden, Norway, Ireland and Scotland one day on my trips.
There are other vehicles, but im only allowed 20 pictures,
and I think its enough for you guys to enjoy.
I might post some more soon.
Just really still wondering about the details of my Brougham...
Might just ask for help in the correct section.
