I just purchased a 2010 CTS-V a month ago. Last night i went shopping with no problems. This morning i go to crank the car and nothing but a click. I cleaned the terminals and got a boost still only a click. Showing between 11.8 to 12.2 on volts. Anyone have a ideal whats going on?

 

Charging system not working. You could have alternator tested.

 

Or, it could be the flip side... a bad battery. Sometimes people get used to how a car starts, only to find out the battery was low. So, not only check the alternator (if you remove it, any auto parts store can test it), but also check the battery.
