56 going on 21 here, the last Cadillac I drove was a '63 my mother had when I was 16. I just recieved a '97 Deville and forgot how great they were! It has been 26 years since I had a V8, and all I can say is wow.

I just sold my '95 Mitsu 3000GT, and I will tell you this, my Deville would keep up with it without much problem.
I am sold again.

I am 25 and have had an 88 Seville, 83 Fleetwood Brougham, 85 Fleetwood Brougham, and currently have a 97 Deville, 97 Seville, and 70 Coupe Deville. I love my Caddy's! Have done the northstar headgaskets and case halves on both 97's myself. That was a fun project.

Default The age of Cadillac owners in our forums!

I am 32 years old and my previous car was a 1996 deville, pearl red. I sold that car back in the winter and I have regretted it ever since. I just bought a 96 eldorado ETC pearl white, which needs minor work.

I always got teased by my wife and family for driving an "OLD MAN'S CAR" but it's was amusing that when it was time to go out of town on a long trip, everybody always demanded that we ride in the Cadillac! LOL! Even though every one else in my family has a newer foreign car they would prefer to ride in the "OLD MAN" comfortable Caddy.

34 Here I have been driving my 2000 DTS for a few years now.

I am absolutely in love with mine and will never drive anything but a Caddy from here on out.

I think my next one is going to be a CTS.

Well, I should probably jump in and introduce myself. I am new to the forum, just turned 50, and just bought my first Caddy. Nope not a new one a 200.00 67 Coupe Deville with 72,000 miles. I has not ran since 1975. Sold off a 70 chevy truck resto-rod project to fund the project. We'll see how she runs before to many plans are made.

I love the 1967 & 1968 Coupe deville can you post pictures during the restoration, kind of like a progress report?

I'm interested in restoring one of these and I would like to see the methods used to restore one. There are plenty of books on muscle car restoration but almost none on Cadillac restoration.

Default 67 Coupe Deville

Hey thanks for the reply. I'm new to groups and posting, but will try to provide some progress info. It has to pass the start/run test before going forward. I am also in the middle of putting my first car back on the road and don't want to impact my gearhead piggy bank with another big project. As far as restoration goes, I am not a purest. I am thinking along the lines of dark red metal flake, ghost flames, shaved door handles, dual exhaust as a start. Air bags later perhaps.
