what could the problem be?
About two months ago I was starting my 96 Seville and I got this on the information center "Change Engine Oil" & "0% oil life left". So later that day I changed my oil & filter. The next day I got the same message, so I took it to Oil Changers and had them do it......and it still said the same thing. So everyday for the past 2-3 months I have to press the info reset button again and again. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE???? thanks

RE: what could the problem be?
I was just reading my owners manual today. I was going to change the oil on my 04 Escalade. There was a section in there about the CHANGE THE OIL light and 0% OIL LIFE.
It said something to the effect that after the oil is changed and the CHANGE OIL LIGHT comes on tap the gas pedal 3 times within the first 5 seconds when the key is in the on position.
What does your owner manual say about resetting the CHANGE OIL light?
If you don't have the info let me know and I will go out and get my manual and type you in want it says. Hopefully it would work on yours.
Good Luck,
Bill

Hey
Ebay has tons of Caddy lit, sure it's a bit iffy at times, but I love eBay... so be it
Anyway, my experience with OBD revolves around the 80s generation ECM and BCM trouble codes. Bringing them up on the ECC where in an example like yours, they are referred to as 'hard codes', displayed 3 times when cycling. You do need to reset hard codes, but in the 90s models I've no experience as of yet.

RE: what could the problem be?
There are many sources for Cadillac literature, owners manuals, service manuals, etc.
One that comes to mind is Autolit.com; also, there is a lot of material to be found on ebay. Now, if i can just find a nice logo vanity plate for my 98 Concours...
