Default NO wipers, NO washer, either

1992 Brougham, wipers working fine this morning, tried to turn them on this afternoon, and nothing happened. No delay, no low speed, no high speed, no mist wipe. In addition, the washer isn't working either...no pump sounds. I changed the tab fuse, still nothing.

Are the two connected somehow? Is it possibly the wiper/washer motor? Pricey?
Yes, I'm a chick, but I love to work on cars, so I'm not afraid to get dirty. I need my wipers in a big way because it's snowing!

Thanks for speedy replies!

Try unpluging and reconnecting connector to wiper motor. Sometimes connector gets a little corrosion on it, cycling connector restores contact.

Thanks for your help!
I went out this morning to warm up the car, and the wipers and washer started up just fine...in fact , they started out with everything I was trying make happen yesterday afternoon!
Maybe she's just showing her age, or was feeling cranky about the winter weather...who knows?

Thanks again!

it rained yesterday on the car and today works.
to me that points to something cracked, connector maybe.

see if it comes back when the weather changes again.
