Default Idle problem on '95 Seville Northstar

Hello,

I'am french; i have a '95 Seville STS with Northstar. It had 100 000miles.

The motor start and run fine.

But when the motor is hot, if i cut off motor, and i restart 5 minutes later, the idle is at 1900rts/min , and if i accelerate, it down at 600rts/min ...

Is it EGR Valve problem, or IAC valve problem, or problem ?

Excuse me, for my approximative english.

Thanks.

Check for codes, see FAQ section. It would be worth while to get Factory Service Manual - French version (Canadian). Has anything been done prior to this happening?

Default probably an IAC

Probably has something to do with ur IAC valve heating up... take a look at that.

on a side note i had a similar problem on my 91 Seville but after using "seafoam" in the engine my idle problems were almost eliminated. i highly recommend it if it hasn't been done already, especially with such high milage. that would be my first recomendation for trying something because it costs usualy abut $10 (american dollars) and even if it dosent solve your problem, at least you cleaned your engine a bit and that goes a long way in car care.
