How to question: pull the ignition lock cylinder out of the steering column

How do you pull the ignition lock cylinder out of the steering column? My only set of keys are so-o worn that they barely work anymore. Thanks for the help in advance! Larry

You have to pull your steering wheel first then undo the turn signal switch and behind that you have a security screw that holds the cylinder in place. Remove the screw and pull the old cylinder out and replace in reverse order.

Now if you have a vat key you have to undo the wires from the harness connection under the dash and tie a wire or string to the cable before pulling the wire through the column. Then tie your new wire and pull back through the column and reconnect.

Not if you disconnect the battery and unplug the airbag...
