Dexcool?

I have heard GM had problems in the 90's with the Dexcool Coolant used in trucks (not cars). The coolant would get sludgy over time. Anyone with an early model Escalade or Chevy encounter this problem?

one of the biggest causes of that "sludge" is people mixing non-dexcool with dexcool, or simply not maintaining their cooling system.

According to my Caddy dealer in Munich, they had the most problems with dexcool orange after MY 1996, especially the Blazer S10, the green dexcool seems to be more reliable. Best regards Franz
