Default CTS stalls randomly

I have a 2010 CTS that just totally quits without warning. It has happened three times over the past several months and could prove to be a very dangerous situation. The first time I was in the second lane of a four lane interstate. Fortunately it was in a stop and go situation. It just died, I put it in park and it started right up with no further problems. It happened in town driving a couple months ago, same thing. Then yesterday, again after being on interstate for 200 miles, about four hours. It seems to happen after it has been running at highway speeds for some time. At the last oil change I mentioned it to the service writer, who said he had never heard of this. However, on this forum I have seen at least three incidences of the same type of issue. I will be taking it into the dealership when I return home, I'm sure they will not be able to recreate the event, so don't know how they will check it. The writer said last time the engine code wouldn't show anything if it was only for an instant? I'm concerned when I am rearended and I say it just quit, I won't be believed! Also, there is no "check engine light" or any indication of something wrong. Pretty much at a loss as to what to do.

Possible reasons for quitting:
1) Bad gas cap.
2) Fuel pressure issue.
3) Failing fuel pump.
4) Clogged fuel injector

Dealership finally found two loose ground wires that could have caused the shutdown. After tightening the grounds the CTS has not stalled since and it has been several weeks now.
