Default Crankshaft sensors Where are they???

I recently took my 2001 Eldorado ESC to the dealer and he found these 2 DTC codes:

1) P0135-02 Heater circuit B1-S1. Recommend replacing

2) P0385. Crank sensor circuit B. Recommend replacing both.

Does anyone out there have a picture from a Cadillac service manual that might show me where these items are located? I tried the library but no luck.

Thanks in advance
Jim

So on the front of the engine is a big spocket, you can see it in the picture. The chains go from it to the camshafts on the head. The crank sensor is down where that big spocket is. On the real engine the spocket and chains have covers over them but it is down there where the crankshaft is. There is a black arrow on the picture.

Thanks again for the reply. Are you saying that the sensors are under thecrank sprocket cover? Without removing the cover I have looked extensively in the crank end of the engine andcan findno crank sensors. My engine is a 2001 and this picture relates to a 93-99. Could it be that they are located somewhere else on the the later engines? Also I can't see any black arrow in the picture.

Thanks again,
Jim

The N* was redesigned slightly for 2000. The sensor is on the spocket as far as I know. Let's do some more digging.

Cranksenorsare in the middle of the engine block on any N*
Front of the car behind the front motor mount from underneth.
When you find the oil filter, look up and to the right. 2 plugs one over the other.
A 10mm bolt holds each in.
The redesigned sensors will be black and grey.
The black one goes on the bottom.

Thanks FLCADDYTECH

The sensors have been located and are being replaced as I type (I'm having my brother-in-law do it). So thanks again and thanks to Katzmans Caddy for the help as well.
