I have a 2012 SRX and the bluetooth does not recognize the voice command for "name", it only recognizes the voice command for "number".

Need some help.

@humtex, have you contacted your local Cadillac dealership about what you are experiencing? If you have, what did they say about this?

You can also see about testing this out on another 2012 SRX of the same trim level to see if you can replicate this. The dealership should allow you to do this.
