Default 98 sls power problem

Had the codes read at autozone and it said it was the throttle position sensor. previously I accidently got some coolant inside the elec. conn. to this sensor. I changed the sensor last night with one pulled from old motor and it was worse, it wouldn't idle at all, sounded like a jet taking off. So had to put the old one back on and its working good but still have the power problem. Could there be a fuse blown. Anybody familiar with this problem.
