I have a 1998 DeVille with the Northstar engine. I put a new alternator in and the serpentine belt was a little loose and whines. After searching around I found out that there are 2 sizes of pulley for this cars alternator. I called a parts store to see if there was another size belt or different tension pulley to make up for the 4cm difference but no info at all.
i was hoping that I replace the belt or tensioner instead of pulling this alternator back out.
If someone can help me with this issue... It would help alot. Thank you
