95 elderado what do you think
Hi all, I'm looking at a 1995 Cadillac Elderado at an impound auction. It has 185xxx miles. The car looks good, it would look great with some wax and a good detail. (smells like puke right now, but I am good at cleaning cars) Also, something I noticed that possible not everyone that looked at the car did, is that the car has a real expensive sound system (couldn't know if you didn't open the trunk and actually stick your head in there)
You guys should know that I am really only buying this to re-sell it. So keep that in mind.
The only thing that worries me about the car is that it has a bit of a tick or knock. I have heard that these northstar v8s leak oil. I would like to know where it generally leaks from. Also it runs on premium. I am wondering if maybe the previous owner did not use premium and maybe just putting the premium in and changing the oil would get rid of the knock. How likely do you think that is. What else do you think the knock could be caused by/ is it a big deal.
So. . .
1. How much do you think a nice 95 Elderado 185XXX miles is worth.
2. Where are the common places for it to leak. easy/ hard fix. (expensive fix/ parts? I do my own work)
3. Do you think it is likely (of course its a gamble) that premium fuel and an oil change may get rid of the knock.
Thanks!

Just to be more specific, i would describe it as a tick more the a knock. These type of things are difficult online. Any insight? The auction ends tomorrow, so would like some insight. There are 2 other cars I am looking at that are less risky but also less valuable. Here is a link to the car: http://www.towlot.com/showacar/0008170001490017748.html
