83 Seville stalls code 19
My 83 Seville began stalling out while driving a couple weeks after a rear brake line replacement. It would start out fine, but after an hour or so the engine would die, typically when idling or coasting. It would start right up again, but then only go a short distance (1/2 mile) before stalling again. each time I started it, it was able to go less far after restart. I live in Minnesota, and the problem also began when the weather got cold.
My mechanic (I know very little) saw a code 19, but didn't think the fuel system would be related to the problem, and instead bypassed the EGR (I was strapped for cash at the time and couldn't afford the repair). The car ran better afterwards, but the stalling problem remained.
How likely is it that it's a fuel pump problem? Anything also it could be?
Thanks.

Hey Only:A number of problems could cause your condition. The ECM may not be processing the fuel pump signal, or not switching the relay off. The relay could be faulty, the wiring harness from the fuel pump and the ECM feedback circuit can be a short to voltage.Fuel pump relay can be found in the relay panel.
