I recently purchased a 2014 Cadillac SRX 4 Luxury with 26,000 miles on it. I like the car but when I took it to Texas, we stopped in Las Cruces New Mexico and it was 27 degrees in the morning. The Cadillac made a groaning noise when the steering wheel is turned in this cold. The car steers and turns fine so it seems unrelated to the power steering pump. This only happens in temperatures in the 20's and 30's. I've heard it is related to dried out struts and strut mounts. Is this a known problem and if it is, is it covered under a GM extended warranty?
