Default 2006 DTS Seats - Heated Cooled & Massage ??

Greetings. My first post here, as I have a questions about 2006 DTS seats.

Just to make sure I wasn't asking a newbee question that had already been answered multiple times, I did a search and browsed thru several of the forums - no luck.

Was surfing eBay and found these seats for sale, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=320169345311

My interest is in retro-fitting them to a pre-ECU car. I'm under no illusion these will be a plug and play install because almost everything in new cars is controlled by an ECU.

I can see the controls and motors for moving the seat to various positions. The heating elements are in the cushions, and it looks like the switches for the heat are on the side of the seats. That leaves the massage and cooling functions unknown.

Question is, does anyone know ifthese seats require an ECU to operate?

How does the A/C work on the seats? Is it piped in from the car's primary HVAC system, or are there special cooling units in the seats?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on these.

They do require seat module, which is intergarated into cars systems. You may find something out on the Net, I'm not sure you will be retro them into earlier car.Hope it helps
