Default 1994 Eldo Problems

First i would like to say thanks for accepting me into the Cadillac world... Now, i just purchased a 1994 eldo for a steal and it has a couple of problems. 1st: my spedo, gas gauge, etc. doesn't work along with the digital displays on the dash. 2nd: the service engine soon light comes on while highway driving. 3rd: and final the car wobbles while driving on the highway... Please any help is appreciated. Thanks for your time

Wobbling meaning? Are the wheels bouncing more than regular in front?Or does it feel like the tires are outta balance?

Ok, I'll give this a shot:

1. Digital display - Start with the fuses and if ok look for another one on e-bay, reasonably priced usually.
2. SES light on highway - is engine misfiring? does light flash or just come on? I am leaning toward a misfire which would occur under load.
3. Wheels wobbling - check alignment and balance of wheels, also split belts in the tires can cause this and if the car sat or was not used this is probable.

Thanks for answering. Today i got all four of the tires rotated and balanced and that corrected the wobbling. As for the ses, i'm gonna put it on a diagnostic machine tomorrow and i'll post what codes come up from that and maybe i can get some more detailed help. Last thing is, someone who has a significant cadillac knowledge said that its a possibility that i may need a new "brain" because of the dash being "out." Could someonelet me know if that sounds correct to them... Thanks again

With the dash being out, i would go to say that the Check Engine Light and the Intrument cluster are related. Probaly a bad Instument cluster...a common problem. Also a check engine light on these can be something simple as idle learn soo do check codes.

ok here goes nothing... I've balanced all of my tires and got a alignment and that stopped the wobble... As of Thursday evening I've started feeling a sway in the car can't pinpoint if its the front or the back end. Also i noticed that when i brake the car kinda dips to the right. Last think i need to know is if anyone can suggest a good sight or someone that could give me a good price on an instrument cluster or a brain for this 94 eldo. Thanks again for being patient with a first time caddy owner
