I've got a 1990 Cadillac Deville and it's not starting. When I go to crank it up it sounds like its about to start and then it kind of just goes back to cranking over. I'm pretty sure it's that I don't have the original key with the chip in it so it kills the ignition before it starts up and runs. So, I went to a caddy dealer with my vin # and had them make me a key for it with the little chip.
BUT, when I got home I stuck the key in but the chip is placed so far back on the key that it doesn't even go into the ignition.
Is there any way around this problem or where can I go to get a key that would actually work for me?
