1987 Seville fuel problem - advice?

My dad's 87 seville with 66k miles conked out just leaving a parking area on a return trip of 10miles. Towed home. Engine cranks well, has spark, won't start and service now light is on. I sprinkled some gas underneath air filter and car immediately started and continued to run well. After 5 minutes I turned off and it restarted easily. Same after an hour. However, later in the day and also days later won't start unless it's primed as before. Codes on dash are E20 and E52. Thoughts on how to proceed are appreciated.

I would check fuel pump relay

Also check the Idle Speed Control. It may be dirty or broken, and keeping the throttle body plate wide open.
