1970 Deville Convert.

Ive got a 70 deville 2door convert. the pass. side rear quarter window wouldnt go up and down. I tore it apart and diagnosed it and determined that the motor was bad. Does anyone know where I could get a new one or if The motors for the other windows are the same or similar. I cant seem to find a regulator or motor new or even used anywhere.

thanks
Steve

Right front should be the same. That era of GM cars should be the same Pontiac, Olds, Buick. Try www.hemmingsmotornews.com as well for a supplier or rebuilder. An auto wrecking yard should have a book called Hollander interchange manual to verify cars and years that would interchange.

Back in the olden days, before techs... mechanics would take the motor end plate off and polish the armature where the brushes ride. Put the motor back together and they usually worked again. As far as motors there are 2 different lengths and were used in to the late 70s. Length can be a concern because of bracing sometimes when using the longer motor.
