Newbie here, Glad to see there is a forum for us Cadillac fans...

Details:

I just bought a 1966 Cadillac Coupe De Ville about a month ago and it's been in the shop getting a good tune up. I brought it home today and I'm starting to do a major clean up on the car but one thing I want to start with first is the power seats.

The power seats buttons on the side activate the motor because when I push the lever to move forward or backwards I can hear the motor but the seat doesn't move. Non of the buttons on the side of the seat move the seat what so ever, the motor is working but no movement.

Any ideas or can you point me in the right direction in how to fix or what may be wrong or where to start to find out the problem.
