'06 STS door lock- locksmith?

The driver's door on my 2006 STS will not unlock with the remote. Is this a issue that I can resolve with "personal settings". It could be a mechanical issue.. should I call a locksmith?

If i were at your place, i would immediately hire nearest locksmith near me to unlock it if the remote doesn't work.

Put a new battery in the remote first thing. Most part stores can check to see if the remote is good or not. Remotes are cheap off amazon or ebay and are easy to program.

Did the fob you're using previously work with that door and this is a new issue, or is it a new/replacement fob you're using? A new fob will need to be programmed to your specific vehicle by a locksmith. If its the same fob you've been using, it is likely a dead battery- however, if it works to open the rest of the doors I would think it must be a mechanical issue.

I had a similar problem a few months ago. But I was too naive and self-confident at first, so I decided to repair the door lock myself. But I didn't take into account that I knew nothing about it. So I guess I just made things worse. Then my friend advised me to make the car key replacement. Next time, if there'll be any problems, I won't try to deal with it by myself. Nothing can compare with the work of a professional, IMHO. BTW, does anyone have an automatic garage door? It seems to be very convenient. So I'd like to know your opinion on this point.
