Nothing special other than using Nero DVD copy (I have version 6.6) and it worked fine. Does your Nav use touch screen? If so, we should have the same or very simlar Nav.What DVD disc did you use? I used a +R dual layer disc (more expensive) because that's what Nero said the single layer does not have enough space.

Basically you have to have a DVD recorder that supports writing the booktype to ROM. If it doesnt then you cant make a backup... I used Nero's free version and it worked the first time on my computer but my laptop didnt work... I did some research on the DVD writers in both computers and it turns out the one in my laptop will not write booktype ROM.

If you are making coasters its because your writer is not what you need... its as simple as that!

If you need help obtaining a working backup copy... you can PM me! I backed up GM Navigation DVD 25847541 2008 800 Trk-MidUtility-H3 and it works fine...

Thanks
