having trouble finding a rebuilt 472 motor for my 1969 fleetwood limo.
Will a 454 fit into my 1969 fleetwood? anyone ever try this?

 

It will but...the transmission won't bolt to a Chevrolet engine. Buick, Oldsmobile , and Pontiac use the same bell housing. You may need to fab mounts. IDK if Caprice/Impala mounts and brackets will work. An adapter could get you past transmission deal. You could also have transmission built using a Chevy case and guts from the original trans. Other easier idea 455 Olds probably the most common of the BOP big blocks. You would want the frame brackets to match whatever engine you chose. The 425 Cadillac engine should also be considered.
