I recently bought a Biarritz convertible in reasonably good condition, but am having some trouble getting the boot to fit when I put the top down...anyone have any special techniques or suggestions about what to do?

 

Hello Bob. I just bought a 1984 Eldorado and I have having the same problem. I left it in the sun all day and the boot is still so tight that when you get one side snapped in, the other side pops out.

I am thinking of trying a heat gun, carefully. If you come of with any better ideas, please let me know.
