I am dealing on a very nice 2013 xts platinum, but leery of work done on car, it has the dash pad "peeled) somewhat
from windshield to steering wheel direction, they claim it was to do some radio repair, anyone know of any repairs that
would require getting into inside of dashboard, electronic problems or such.

 

There is a ton of stuff that they would need to remove the dash for. The radio however is not one of them.

No more than anything else. If it has the 3.6l engine then it will need timing chains sometime around 100k, This is expensive as the motor has to come out to do it.
