Default shift solenoid replacement

Anybody have any direction on replacing the shift solenoids on a 93 sts. Are they accessible through the bottom pan, or do I have to go in from the side cover.

Default RE: shift solenoid replacement

Assuming you have a northstar/4t80e then they are accessed from the bottom.
If detailed directions are needed i would suggest a service manual.
The entire lower valve body/channel plate must be removed and disassembled.
Also the lower channel plate gasket should be replaced.
If you have specific questions i will help the best i can, but this is not a doityourself type repair IMHO.
Please don't take offence to this, you may be well qualified for the task.
I just feel this type of repair should be done "by the book", at least the first time.
