should a given ground lose its connection, lacking a contingency secondary ground, that circuit will either shut down or fail,
should a given ground become an intermittent connection, so will the circuits served by that ground.
.
stealth, sorry i didnt explain myself.....there are two grounds under rear seat...99sts.... one is main, and off of batt. the other comes out of the trunk, and is attached on floor behind driver. question: what is that ground, grounding.......?
not having a circuit diag for your car, i dont know the specifics.
the main ground basically grounds the battery to the car chassis/frame,
the other probably makes sure a metal section of the car that may be insulated
by rubber moutns is also well grounded.
when it comes down to it, every sheet metal part of your car is part of an electrical circuit.
regardless, if you are having electrical issues, i would remove both, clean and lube
(dielectric) the terminals and hardware. then you be good for another 20 years.
if you havent, i suggest you read the FAQ on e-ghosts in our FAQ section.
