Headlights

I bought a 1996 sts for my dad for father's day. I am having an issue where the headlights turn off as soon as I start the car. Neither the low or high beams will work. I've gone through all the fuses and they are good. Please help me figure this out

Not completely familiar with the ‘96, but have you made sure that the headlights are either automatic or “ON,” and that the little slider near the headlight operating controls isn’t turned off?
