Garage door opener
Hello>>>I am new to this form>>>>I have owned Cadillac cars sence 1988>>last three have been STS's>>>I just bought a new left over 2006 STS with two options 1SB Luxury group and sunroof>>>>It was a suprize after I got home to find out it did not have the built in garage door opener>>>>You would think a $46,575 car would have a garage door opener on it or could buy one to install in it. I would think most Cadillac owners has a garage to put there car in. I called Cadillac customer assistance and the lady could not help me and did not forward me to a person that could. I found a dealer that looked up the 21997135 transmitter and 89026100 bezel number for me. I popped out the plate where gagage door opener would go but did not see a power plug for transmitter. I have talked with three Cadillac dealers and they have not installed a garage door opener on an 2006 STS. I talked with a wreck car rebuilder and he called a GM parts man and GM person said there was only one wiring harness for the car. I have looked and can not find the plug in for transmitter. Anyone out there know where plug is stored? I am a unhappy Cadillac owner right now. Thanks for any info.

Stealth, thanks for reply>>I never found out if the power wire for garage door opener is in factory wiring harness>>>what I did was upgraded my garage door opener with a new one and got a nice controler that I clipped on near sunroof opening>>>I thought about mounting in to plate where factory opener would go.
