getting this code when engine runs very rough, After warming up the engine gets smoother. I believe these codes pertain to # 1 injector on 2004 SRX 3.6 . Should I replace all injectors? 135,000 miles
I would agree more than likely you have a bad #1 injector, but I would take the time to test it before replacing all of them (which is a good idea but not 100 percent necessary)
If you measure the resistance (ohms) between the terminals in the injector (not in the connector) you should get a low number, 5-10 ohms maybe. Compare this to the next injector and if it's wildly different or open, it's your injector. If it's the same you may have other issues elsewhere.

Repairman says injectors are good. that it must be a short or the computer needs a re-flash. If it is a short, it could be anywhere under the hood. He felt that it may take hours to find and was unwilling at $70.00 hour to put that kind of cost to me.
It sounds like your repairman got in over his head. The injector circuits are fairly simple, and can be tested without any major disassembly. Now, if they tested the circuits and said yes this wire is shorted, then yes it could get time consuming to find it. But honestly no reason to present it like that besides not wanting the job. And there is no re-flash thats going to correct this issue. Now it is possible a faulty ECM could result with this, but again, the circuits need to be tested before making that decision.
This circuit diagnostic is something I could put together for you via my website - www.dtcassist.com . We use factory schematics and diagnostics to put together an easy to follow set of instructions on how to test for the cause of your issue. This is something you could give to your mechanic as well, though I think finding one with electrical diagnostic abilities would be a good idea, especially with a newer Cadillac.

Well, after all this time I finally got it running right. I ended up replacing the ECM. Still getting "traction engaged" though when a little cold or after a stop over a minute. The "traction engaged" goes away as I get up to speed. Occasionally, it does hesitate before accelerating.
The (fix) did last for 5 months, then same thing started. I did not do much of anything else for a while as I wasn't driving much for several months (medical reasons). Am driving more now and the truck I have just isn't as nice a ride as the SRX. Took it to a different repair shop, they replaced some smog control stuff and the # 1 injector. I have been driving it quite a bit and it seems to be terrific. My 91year old mother loves it. Next it is time for new tires, old ones look good but cracking around cir***ference.
Any suggestions about tires. 2004 SRX 140,000 miles 3.6cyl 2wd? Front wheels are 235/65 -7's and rears are 255/60-17's

After a couple months the issue came back and I took the SRX to a different repair shop. A short WAS finally found repaired and seems to be running very good. Brake assist service and stability service along with T/C light is on. the brake assist service and stability service go out when cleared, T/C stays on. Guess it is back to the shop. (replaced abs fuse, just in case)
