Has anyone removed the usb and aux panel from the inside of the center console. what work was involved. cannot find a diagram on youtube or google. I am installing an aftermarket system and need to plug a t harness in there

 

use plastic trim tools, follow Lor R leather console trim at the very front edge and use tools to pry front end loose the rear of the trim takes a 7mm short socket or a ratchet wrench (very tight). Once off take the trim that looks like a U off pops with that hook tool see the bolts that hold the chrome housing in? towards the lower half maybe four toward the lower area, pull it out ,the top and vents have snap out clips. take it off just go ahead and put it in the back seat That big sphere you see unbolt it lean it towards you and all the wiring is right there when you do the plug will probably loosen by it'self the other bolt heads were 10 &13...just did it four days ago for a CUE screen...you won't go that far..you are just removing a module.. good luck ps you can set it down in the seat, have a thick towel to put down, that front is your control panel.
