Traction Control Disabled, help.

Whenever I turn on my car, it says that my traction control is disabled. I checked the codes and the only one I get is P029 which is for my faulty Shift Solenoid.

My '97 has a button in the glove compartment which can turn on or off TC.

RE: Traction Control Disabled, help.

I believe that every time the car is turned off the default setting is invoked and I believe that the default is Traction On. It would seem that if hitting the override button does not invoke Traction Control then some problem persists. Traction control relies on the ABS system but is seems odd that you have no codes for that. Is your ABS working properly?
