suspension?
 
hey guys,
got a 98 sls. a couple years ago it went in a ditch everything is fine now but the DIC is still displaying service suspension. does anybody know how to clear this. eveything is in great working order and it rides and drives great. i'm stumped. also is there a way to run codes on the car without a computer? i know on my 93 deville i could by holding two buttons is this possilbe on this model.

On post 1995 Fords, the "service required" dumb-dumb light is cleared by connecting a code reader to the data port, which is a trapezoidal connector existing typically beneath the steering column...inside the cabin. Code readers come in various degrees of sophistication, and they are available at DIY places like AutoZone or PepBoys. The least sophisticated is capable of clearing my Ford "service" light. It has been my experience that barring the use of a code reader, the service light remains lit indefinitely.

I cannot advise you directly on your Cadillac.

should be off and warmer buttons for diagnostic mode if i remember right?
