2001 CADILLAC sEVILLE I know the sub is 12", but what abou tthe other seven speakers?

 

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I would also like to know the best way to remove the door speakers. I looked at Crutchfield and they show 5-1/2", 6-1/2" and 6-3/4" for the front and rear door sizes. I would like to know exactly what size they are as I don't want to do any cutting or modifying. I would also like to consider a better cross over for the subwoofer. It seems to play sounds typically above the average subwoofer level. I might even consider a different subwoofer and an additional amp just for it since it seems the existing one can't play the proper frequency. I am curious about where you count seven other speakers though. I have the two tweeters in the dash, four door speakers, and of course the subwoofer. I see the grill in the center of the dash, is this what you are talking about as the eighth speaker? I don't hear any sound emitting from it. I think the dash unit is powerful enough, but the door speakers don't seem to have any highs or upper mids at all, just kind of muddy sounding. If you are sitting in the back seat, the sound isn't very crisp at all with the tweeters way up front. I think that with some nice Infinity reference coaxial speakers in the doors with a little more power thrown at a properly seperated sub would really make things sound nice. Any opinions?

 

I too would like to know the sizes, i just blew the friggin drivers side tweed! also if anyone knows how big of a pain it is to swap it out ?? ^^^ as for the center speaker it works well enuff in my car (99 sts)...
