Removal of driver door wiring harness and temperature problem
My daughter was recently hit and run and it ruined the driver door on her '91 Seville. I managed to get an nice used door, but the guy cut all of the wiring at the door. I am attempting to remove the harness from her car and put it into the new door. I have managed to get the side panel off and have found that the wiring seems to run towards the back. Does anyone have a simple method of removing the wiring, and is the connector underneath the rear seat? (how does the rear seat come out?)
Also, the car always runs hot. It runs at 197 to 206 degrees constantly, and if you happen to need to idle in a line, it may go up to 225 or so. I have replaced the water pump twice. Both fans run. I have been told it couldn't be the thermostat, as it would be much hotter. Is there some sort of electronic sensor that could be bad?
Thanks for your help.

RE: Removal of driver door wiring harness and temperature problem
225 is normal
240 is overheating.
I think you need to unplug all the wiring inside the old door and pull it through.
I don't think the harness unplugs on the car side.

RE: Removal of driver door wiring harness and temperature problem
I just went back to work on it and found it runs somewhere under the driver seat. I have no idea how to get to it without removing the seat.
Problem is, I can't just pull the wiring out through the door, as it would mean removing all of the wires from their individual sockets and am not sure it can be done. Any ideas, please advise.
Thanks all!

IIRC that is how it is done.
Harness to the door is part of the complete body harness.
Why couldn't you unplug each connector inside the door?
I have done it many times on many different cars.
